Building Fire in Old Industrial Park
Box 33-34 was dispatched around 2030 hrs last night for a building fire on River Rd. in the Old Industrial Park. The following companies where dispatched, L-10,L-25, L-33, E-32, E 32-1, E-33,R 31, police arrived on scene with a working fire and Chief 33 added a Rit R-53 and Squad 154. After arrival on scene Chief 33 gave a size up to the county and set up River Rd. command. L-10 a True Quint laid in from River Rd. and went in service, E-33 took the plug, L-25 had the first roof work and R-31 had RIT. Deputy -33 had operations command and Deputy – 53 was Roof command. Fire was knocked very quickly at the start but there was a lot of heat and smoke to be evacuated. The fire was held to the effected shop and appeared to be one car and some extension into the building. All companies worked well on scene and did a great stop. I must say that in a tight industrial park like ours that a Quint is priceless to getting the job done, Kudos to the crew from 10s that along with D-33 went in and got this one before it spread to rest of the building. Fire was placed about 45 minutes into the call and all companies where released soon there after. Covers where provided by L-30, E-13 and R-98 thanks to all.
